Column 2: Custom label
In the Custom Label column, you need to enter the labels that you will use later to segment the ad groups . The label you need to use is the one that will allow you to group the products within ad groups, based on criteria, such as the category they belong to. Usually, when I create campaigns of this type, I tend to group the products based on brand and category.

Let's imagine a site that sells Adidas and Nike shoes. The situation inside the the benefits of using our teacher database feed will be more or less like this:

As you can see, the products have been grouped starting from the brand (nike, adidas), down to the second level category (shoes > sneakers).

Note: When creating custom labels, remember not to include spaces or special characters. From the tests I have done, the system has difficulty 'reading' custom labels with particular characters and as a result the ads do not activate.

Upload the feed and set up the scheduled retrieval
Once the feed is created, it must be uploaded to the appropriate section of Google AdWords. The first upload must be done manually. Subsequent uploads, however, can be scheduled by indicating the feed URL to the system. Let's see how.

To upload the feed to Google Adwords, click on 'Shared Library' from the side menu at the bottom left and then on 'Business Data' . At this point, click on the '+ DATA' button and then on 'Page Feed' as in the following screen:

Ok, now specify a name for the feed and perform the first manual upload by clicking on 'Specify file path' and selecting the file. After selecting the file, click on 'Upload and preview' and then on the 'Apply changes' button , so you can preview the upload before the changes are applied.

Once you have uploaded the feed manually, you are ready to set the schedule and therefore the automatic update of the feed for the next times. To do this, select the feed you have just uploaded and click on the third tab 'Scheduled uploads' , as shown in the screen:
