Neptune: Farthest from the sun, dark blue.
These planets are like our cosmic neighbors, each with its own mysteries waiting to be explored.

Planets aren't the only objects in our solar system. Moons japan mobile number orbit planets, just as our Moon orbits Earth. Satellites can be large, like Jupiter's moon Ganymede, or small, like Mars' moon Phobos.

Comets and asteroids are like space rocks that pass through our solar system. Comets have icy tails that glow as they approach the sun, while asteroids are rocky remnants from when the planets formed billions of years ago. Scientists study comets and asteroids to learn more about how our solar system formed.

Exploring Space: Rockets and Spacecraft
How do we explore outer space? With rockets and spaceships! Rockets are like large engines that propel spacecraft through Earth's atmosphere and into space. Once in space, spacecraft can travel to other planets, moons, or even beyond our solar system.

Humans have sent astronauts into space to live and work on space stations such as the International Space Station (ISS). Astronauts wear special clothing called spacesuits to protect them from the vacuum of space and the extreme temperatures. They conduct experiments, take pictures of Earth, and learn about how our bodies react to life in space.
