Today, companies in Spain face a crucial challenge: digitalisation . Holded, a business management tool, has carried out a study on the digitalisation of SMEs in Spain to gain a deeper understanding of how small and effective latvia mobile numbers list medium-sized companies manage their online presence.

Through this survey, 1,532 responses were collected, in which entrepreneurs, businessmen, officials and employees of private companies from all over the country shared their points of view .

The results of the study reveal that 18% of respondents consider that their company has an acceptable online presence , while 13% rate it as good. On the other hand, 9% perceive that their organization lacks an online presence. These figures may vary depending on whether the response comes from an entrepreneur, an official or an employee.

However, there is still a significant number of entrepreneurs who lack the necessary knowledge or adequate resources to establish an online presence. In addition, few are aware of the Create and Grow Law , as well as the mandatory Electronic Invoicing from 2024.

How do SMEs invest in digitalisation?
It is important to know which digitalisation resources these organisations invest the most in. The Holded study shows that 58% of Spanish companies invest in their online presence , while only 9% invest in cybersecurity .

The digitalization resources that have the most investment are:

● Websites, 58%.
● Presence on social networks, 47%.
● CRM and other software, 34%.
● Digital accounting, 29%.
● Process management, 23%.
● Electronic invoice, 19%.

And those online resources where companies invest less:
● Cybersecurity, 8.7%.
● Business intelligence and analytics, 9.2%.
● Virtual office, 9.3%.

It should also be noted that 48% of respondents do not make online sales . 70% believe that this is not part of their business model. On the other hand, 20% believe that they do not have the necessary knowledge, resources or information, while 8% believe that setting it up is a huge expense.

What are the differences in online investment according to gender?
There is a difference in online investment depending on gender, as women are the ones who invest the most in websites, social networks and electronic invoicing. In the case of men, the largest investment is in CRM or other management software, digital accounting and electronic invoicing.
