VTAP is Vtiger’s low-code platform that helps developers and administrators extend CRM capabilities. We have two tools that allow you to create low-code applications.
One is the Module Builder and the other is the API Phone Number Database Builder. In this blog, we will look at what, how, and when to use the Module Builder.

VTAP Javascript APIs
How to use the module builder?

The module builder is available in Main Menu > Platform Application. It is free for all Professional and Enterprise customers. If you want to develop and release extensions for the marketplace, you can sign up for the free developer version from here .

You can use the module builder to add the following:

VTAP Scripts - Allows you to add custom buttons, widgets, etc.
Components - allows you to add custom components.
VTAP Styles - help change the appearance of the user interface.
Page - allows you to add your own pages.
In this blog we will discuss how to add VTAP scripts to the module builder.

Adding VTAP Scripts

VTAP scripts are entry points for custom logic. You start by naming the script and selecting the module for which the script should run. It is important to select a module because you will often have module-specific needs, such as listening for a contact button click or saving a record.

You can either create your own extension module or use existing modules to add the script.

Note: Create an extension module if you want the module to be released through the Vtiger marketplace.
