“Google traffic is erratic… yesterday it dropped sharply at 10am and remained low throughout the day, although traffic from the US was barely affected. Today traffic was high until 1pm and then started to drop sharply every hour, mostly from the US.
Such sharp drops throughout the day are very unusual and could indicate that something is changing literally every hour — be it the number of ads, widgets on the page, or changes in ranking depending on location.
It hardly converts. Maybe it’s a seasonal factor, but I usually get more requests at this time of year.”
"Is anyone else seeing significant changes on their sites right now? Traffic usa business email list on our main German-speaking site (travel) is down almost 50%."
"This month, pageviews have been wildly fluctuating: in the last 4 days (Tuesday to Friday) they were 200% of the previous 3 days (Saturday to Monday). Today, towards the end of the day, traffic is only 25% of normal! Sometimes I even doubt the accuracy of my statistics programs."
“My community is mostly focused on the US — about 65% of traffic comes from the US. Traffic is growing slowly. Revenue is at the same level as last year, maybe down 2% so far. Let’s see what happens next week.
Using Bing’s IndexNow feature has helped improve our rankings on Bing, although traffic from there is not much. Sales of advanced site features and guest posts remain stable. Surprisingly, traffic from Google is down about 25% year-over-year, but revenue remains the same.”
Whether the traffic is high or low
