1. Smooth and transparent communication
For employees of a company, a period of crisis arouses concern and shakes confidence. The only possible response: clear and sincere communication about the situation. Grey areas and contradictions can generate doubts. The manager must answer questions honestly, communicate the information he has, and listen to employees' questions.

The manager must, truemoney database more than ever in times of crisis, encourage cooperation and solidarity , unite his teams and show that he is at their side. And this, even in times of confinement as imposed by the pandemic: if he cannot be on the field, the manager must maintain exchanges using digital tools. Be careful, however, to unite a team does not mean excessively multiplying meetings or videoconferences, which would exhaust employees rather than motivate them. And to avoid meetings that are too anxiety-provoking, try to preserve a dose of humor and good humor.

3. Plan and encourage
A clearly defined action plan, which sets everyone's objectives, is essential. Then be careful not to leave employees to their own devices: it is essential to encourage, highlight successes and progress, and congratulate  !

In times of crisis, an action plan is not immutable: decisions taken in an emergency can evolve with the context. In this case, the manager must remember to always explain and justify the changes , so as not to lose the trust of employees and compromise their understanding of the situation.

4. Stay demanding, but show empathy
It can be tempting for a manager to "give ground" during a crisis, to lower his level of requirement. This is a very bad signal! If production, for example, can be impacted, the level of requirement and rigor (in terms of quality) must be identical.

On the other hand, if the manager must absolutely keep his cool, he must also show more empathy . He must encourage employees to report difficulties (professional or personal) that could interfere with work, but also to allow themselves moments of relaxation to unwind!

5. Encourage creativity and innovation
In times of crisis, many solutions emerge from the field: we must therefore listen to employees , dare to take new approaches, innovate... It is a way of solving problems, boosting employee engagement and preparing for "the future"!
