The ROG Zephyrus S17 gaming laptop has been introduced in Ukraine. What are its features?

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) announces the launch of ROG Zephyrus S17, a premium gaming laptop with an optical-mechanical keyboard. The new product combines high performance, stylish design and a host of technological innovations.



Design
ROG Zephyrus S17 features an original design with a thickness of only 20 mm. When opening the laptop lid, the keyboard rises by 5°, revealing a wide ventilation hole, which increases the airflow by 25%. By the way, this is not the first model from ASUS, where the keyboard rises by 5°-7° above the case.

The 5° tilt keyboard makes typing as comfortable as possible with the same ergonomic tilt as desktop mechanical keyboards. ROG Intelligent Cooling technology further enhances the cooling performance of the ROG Zephyrus S17. The most advanced Arc Flow fans in the ROG series are designed to efficiently and quietly move air; the blades of these fans are specially shaped to minimize turbulence and noise. When the temperature of the components drops below 50°C, the fans automatically reduce their speed and become completely silent.

Liquid metal, used as a thermal interface , reduces the temperature of the central processor by 10 degrees compared to conventional thermal pastes. Special equipment is used to apply this material correctly, eliminating the possibility of error. A system of six heat pipes removes heat from the central and graphics processors, video memory and voltage regulator. Heat is removed from the case through four radiators with ultra-thin plates. When the fans are running, a self-cleaning system removes dust from critical cooling components to prevent a decrease in performance and stability over time.

Users can change modes manually using the Multiwheel or a hotkey, or automatically using custom profiles. These profiles, available through the ROG Armoury Crate utility, allow you to associate specific games and applications with specific modes, lighting effects, and other system settings.
